Pre-Order Daft Punk’s new album, “Random Access Memories”

Yes, you read that correctly. It’s been 8 years, but Daft Punk is finally releasing their follow-up to “Human After All.”

The rumor mill has been churning for several years, particularly after they released “Derezzed” for Tron: Legacy. There were more rumors of a spot at Coachella, but that has yet to be actually confirmed. We’ve all been sitting on the edge of our seats after the French duo aired a mysterious 15-second ad during Saturday Night Live on March 2nd.

Further fueling the fire, the same ad was projected on to a building and looped as Ultra Music Festival-goers were leaving Friday night in Miami. Who’s willing to bet money they’ll be making an appearance at Ultra this weekend? I’ll be watching from home via UMFTV, and you can too if you click here.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt as excited as I am right now. They’ve been making music since I was in diapers, and it’s surreal to anticipate a new album from these guys now that I’m old enough to appreciate it.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this isn’t an elaborate hoax as we approach April Fool’s Day. As of right now, you can pre-order “Random Access Memories” via iTunes. According to the iTunes pre-order page, it’ll be 13 tracks and is being released by Columbia Records with an expected release date of May 21st.

Go pre-order Random Access Memories now, and in the meantime, enjoy one of my favorites from Daft Punk:
